Method 1. Wash with Warm Water

Using warm and soapy water mixed with either dish soap or laundry detergent, let your clothes soak overnight. If the stain on your clothing is old or dry, dip a cotton ball into denatured alcohol. Gently rub the stain with the alcohol, then rinse the area with soap and water. Rinse completely and treat spots with laundry detergent, stain remover for clothes or a bar of soap. Apply a pre-treatment or stain remover product to the stain.

Mineral spirits/acetone remove paint stains, but they can be harsh on synthetics. If you have spilled oil paint on your clothes, be prepared to work to remove the stain. Oil paint is the hardest to remove from anything, not just clothing.
